TA HAS SIGNED AN AGREEMENT WITH TCI ON ASOJ PROJECT

 

Turkish Aerospace (TA), the pioneer of the Turkish aviation and space ecosystem signed an agreement with TCI Cabin Interior for ASOJ (AIRBORNE STANDOFF JAMMER) project, which is developed with the goal to detect/identify enemy communication systems and radars, and jam them to ensure that such systems are not used against allies particularly in cross-border operations. Within the scope of this agreement, the mission systems to be integrated to Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft will be produced with national resources. The goal of TCI will be full cabin completion; including design, certification, and manufacturing of Galleys, Lavatories, Closets, Crew Rests, Sidewalls and other cabin interior components integrally.

In accordance with requirements of our state and armed forces, we will continue to introduce genuine aerial platforms and special mission platforms that our country needs through national resources. ASOJ project carried out with TA as the prime contractor, was kicked off in August 2018 with the aim to develop electronic warfare special mission aircraft that Turkish Armed Forces requires. Within the project, the goal is to develop and and deliver 4 ASOJ aircrafts to Turkish Armed Forces. The works will be performed in collaboration with TCI according to a 5-year forecast calendar and during this period engineers of TA and TCI will fulfill joint works.

TCI is founded as a joint venture between TA, Turkish Airlines and Turkish Technic, and has completed international cabin interior projects successfully in commercial aircraft segments before. TCI has become the global supplier of many airlines and aircraft leasing companies and is supporting leading companies in global aviation such as Boeing, Airbus, and Stelia. With this project, TCI will be able to carry all its capability to military segment as well.
